Tumbler Wrap Size Calculator
Use your blank’s measurements to calculate a straight tumbler wrap, the pixels needed for printing, and whether your design has enough resolution. Download an exact-size SVG template when you’re ready.

How to size a straight tumbler wrap
wrap width = (diameter × π) + seam overlap + (2 × bleed)The tumbler’s circumference is the distance around its body. If you measure the diameter across a straight-sided tumbler, multiply it by π. Add a small overlap only if your process needs the artwork to meet beyond the seam, then add the bleed requested by your printer or transfer workflow.
Use the actual printable height rather than the tumbler’s full height. Rims, tapers, shoulders, and bottom curves may reduce the usable area.
ACCURACY FIRST
Measure the blank you will press
Labels such as “20 oz skinny tumbler” describe capacity and style, not a guaranteed printable size. Measure your blank and check the supplier’s template before cutting or printing.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Tumbler-wrap FAQ
What resolution should I use for a tumbler wrap?
300 PPI is a dependable target for detailed artwork and text. 240 PPI is often still very good. The calculator shows the exact pixel dimensions for the template size and resolution you choose.
Should I add seam overlap?
That depends on your artwork and transfer process. Edge-to-edge patterns often use a small overlap to avoid a visible gap. Follow the blank and equipment supplier’s instructions for your specific setup.
What is bleed?
Bleed extends artwork beyond the intended finished edge so slight alignment differences do not leave an unprinted line. Enter the amount required on each edge; zero is valid when your workflow does not need it.
Why might my supplier’s size be different?
Nominal capacity does not determine exact diameter or printable height. Brands, coatings, lids, rims, and manufacturing tolerances can all change the usable area.
